T-Mobile seals deal with BT

T-Mobile has signed a five-year deal with BT Wholesale, which will enable the internet service provider (ISP) to offer faster mobile broadband speeds.
The ISP will improve its backhaul capacity by linking base stations with faster land-line connections.
It is thought that this deal, which BT Wholesale has also secured with Three, could be worth hundreds of millions of pounds.

Hull's broadband users 'going mobile'

Broadband users in Hull are going mobile in order to cut costs, it has been claimed.
The suggestion was made by The Carphone Warehouse, which stated that people were unhappy about the prices charged by local network provider Kingston Communications.
Michael Readings, manager of The Carphone Warehouse's Hull shop, said some local residents had complained about a lack of choice because they are unable to take advantage of the broadband deals offered by Virgin Media and TalkTalk.

Mobile broadband 'more popular than Wi-Fi'

Mobile broadband is becoming a more popular option than Wi-Fi hotspots which are location specific, it has been claimed.
Through mobile broadband, users have access to the internet anywhere in the country, rather than having to rely on finding a place with Wi-Fi access, reports Point Topic.
The company reports that 47 per cent of people who use the internet away from home use mobile broadband.
