Eclipse aims 24mbps deals at businesses

Eclipse Internet has launched a range of business broadband packages which it claims feature its fastest ever speed.
The service comes with an advertised speed of up to 24mbps, bundled with several add-ons aimed at small business users.
These include a telephone deal which gives users 1,000 minutes of calls to UK non-premium number landlines and data back-up facilities, together with hosted Exchange and hosted Sharepoint.

Virgin Media and O2 lead in real world performance

A recent test of real world broadband speed has found that Virgin Media and O2 (Be Broadband) are streets ahead of the nearest competitors.
O2 just had the edge over its close rival Virgin Media with 6.157 Mbps against 6.097 Mbps, according to broadband.co.uk.
Despite a higher average speed, the price comparison site revealed that Virgin Media had quicker download speeds in the evening and late at night.

Eclipse eyes ISP award

Eclipse Internet is looking to take the Best Internet Service Provider (ISP) award after being shortlisted for the PC Pro gong.
The potential winners are selected after UK customers vote for their favourite provider in each category in one of the largest IT surveys in the country.
Mark Thomas, head of sales and marketing at Eclipse, commented: "To be short listed for a PC Pro award is fantastic news, particularly as this is one of the few awards where customers are the judges."
