'Next-gen fibre optic broadband could realistically achieve an average of 45Mbps'

Experts in the industry have stated that once the next generation of fibre optic broadband is installed in the UK could realistically achieve speeds of 45 Mbps.
Areas in Bournemouth will soon have the super-fast internet connections installed, with promised speeds of "up to 100Mbps".
According to Tom Newton, a broadband expert at UK Web Media, residents in Seoul and Tokyo have theoretical top speeds of 100Mbps.

High-speed TV, gaming and broadband 'could soon be a reality'

An expert in the sector has stated that packages offering high-definition television along with high-speed gaming and broadband could soon be "a reality".
Thomas Newton of UK Web Media noted that the broadband market could soon plateau as there is a finite number of potential subscribers throughout the world.
He said that the UK is already beginning to see this take place but noted that a number of providers are already taking measures to offer bigger inclusive bundles.

BT prepares to unveil 40Mbps fibre optic connection

BT Openreach has announced that it will soon be testing the early examples of its next generation of fibre optic connections.
The fibre to the cabinet (FTTC) broadband system will begin by offering speeds up to 40Mbps and will be available to approximately 30,000 premises to start with, reports ISP Review.
At first it will be available in two regions, Muswell Hill in London and Whitchurch in South Glamorgan.
