NewNet offers free migration

NewNet offers free migration Broadband provider NewNet has announced that all new customers planning to migrate from another provider will be able to join up for free.

Those leaving their former broadband and ASDL suppliers can do so for free, while those not migrating can still receive money off their connection with the firm.

New customers who choose not to migrate can take advantage of a special offer which knocks £10 off the connection bill until the end of this month. From August 1st however, the connection price will revert back to £39.95, while re-connections will cost £29.95.

Prices for the firm's ADSL2+ 24 meg service of prepaid additional bandwidth costs 70p per 1 gb while BT's service of up to 8 mb has risen to £1.10 to turn around some loss making services, the firm states.

According to NewNet, the provider does not have a traffic management policy in comparison with other broadband providers, many of which introduce such measures so that customers do not experience the full potential of their broadband.
