O2 recently received the Highly Commended gong from PCPro in its internet service provider (ISP) awards.
The online portal stated that O2's performance was "stunning" and noted that it was chosen by many due to its highly attractive deals, reports ISP Review.
A study found that 95 per cent of those subscribed to O2 said that they would recommend it to friends, news that may be of interest to those looking to switch providers.
PCPro commented: "It topped our charts for value for money - it backs this up with excellent customer support and strong reliability figures too."
Plusnet narrowly missed out on an accolade, scoring very highly overall in PCPro's rankings.
Zen Internet emerged the overall winner, receiving full marks in all categories.
The most basic O2 package can be purchased for £7.50 a month for existing customers and £12.50 for all others.
Its 20Mbps connection can be bought for either £15 or £20 each month.
