About Post Office Broadband

Stamps, passports, driving licences, and now broadband internet; the entry of the Post Office into the broadband market marks a turning point in British telecommunications history – BT was once part of the organisation before 1981, and now the Post Office returns to the market.

The Post Office currently offer two broadband services for customers, designed to cater for light users and busy households, with both services providing the same top connection speed of 8Mbps. Broadband Standard allows you to download up to 5GB a month, whereas Broadband Extra comes with an unlimited download cap. Customers can save even more money on line rental with the Post Office by taking out a HomePhone voice call package with their broadband.

Customers can get connected out of the box with the Post Office, through a wired Ethernet modem, or a wireless router, both of which are simple and easy to configure and connect to your computers. Microfilters, stands and power supplies are all included. Anti-virus and attendant security features are included as standard, so that you can surf in safety and should you need assistance, technical support is available over the phone with all calls charged at cheap local rates.
